President Erdoğan highlighted the airport’s pivotal role in bolstering Türkiye’s tourism sector, stating, “This is not just an airport; it’s a global front door for Türkiye, capable of greeting guests from every corner of the earth” . The expansion aligns with a 25-year concession agreement commencing in 2027, underscoring a long-term commitment to enhancing the region’s connectivity and economic growth.
