How to Get Tourism Residence Permit in 2024?
In order to reduce the number of tourism residence permits, and foreigners, particularly those applying for tourism residence permits for the first time, are asked to support their stay with a travel plan, family bond, or income. Since February 10, 2022, most applications for foreigners entering Turkey for the first time and applying for a residence permit are rejected. For first-time applicants, if their touristic stay is approved by the Migration Authority, they are given a 6-month residence permit by signing an income commitment. At the end of the 6-month period, when they want to extend their residence permit, it is checked whether they comply with the signed commitment.

New Government Regulation in relation to Registration of Properties for Sale

Vice Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan has advised the following regarding the new placing of real estate advertisements on advertisement websites regulation:
“The citizen will authorise the real estate agent there by selecting the real estate belonging to him through his e-government and entering the code of the real estate agent from the window that will open there. He can also enter the advertisement and sell it himself. But those who will give it to the real estate agent will authorise the real estate agent. Thus, the real estate agent will be able to enter this advertisement on the website with the authorisation they have received. We will start this on 15 September. They will appear as ‘verified advertisement‘. But as of the beginning of the year, all of them will be obliged to appear as verified advertisements”

Türkiye oil and natural gas extraction soared to a record high in June

Aziz Camcı, chairperson of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Platform Association (PETFORM) has highlighted that the Fatih drill-ship’s gas discovery in the Black Sea in August 2020 marked a turning point for Türkiye’s energy sector. “At the time of the initial discovery, Türkiye’s total natural gas production stood at around 440 million cubic meters. Today, the Sakarya gas field alone produces 5.5 million cubic meters per day, meeting the needs of 2.4 million households,”. The significance of the crude oil discovery in Gabar Mountain is ranked among the top 10 largest onshore oil reserves discovered globally in 2022. With an estimated reserve of approximately 150 million barrels of high-quality crude, daily production in Gabar reached 45,000 barrels this June.

With the ongoing discovery of new sites, coupled with exploration in the Western, Central and Eastern Black Sea by national organizations, it is now anticipated that the private sector will now take a more active role in exploration and production activities.
